LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
Weekend leadership courses for 14-16 year olds held throughout the year. These are called Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN).
RYPEN, caters for teenagers who have shown qualities and application in everyday life which deserve further development.
MENTORING FOR YEAR 11 STUDENTS
Support can be provided to Year 11 students in "Mock Interview" led by local business professionals.
Students create a resume and apply for a job in the safety of their school, assessed by caring Rotarians.
STEM PROGRAMS SPONSORSHIP
Students can be sponsored to attend STEM Programs such as the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) .
NYSF deliver a 12-day program in January via a combination of in-person and digital STEM experiences. Participants will experience everything the NYSF is famous for, including keynote speakers, lectures, hands-on workshops, debates, expos and enriching social activities.
DRIVER SAFETY PROGRAM
The successful road safety program in local High Schools is called U-Turn The Wheel.
The program is coordinated by local Rotary Clubs and supported by Council. Expert presenters talk to students about issues facing young drivers and discuss strategies to deal with them.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Rotary can help support the formation of a Club within your high school, called Interact. Students become involved in fundraising and support programs within the school.
Interact clubs bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.

EXPERIENCES
If you enjoy debating, Rotary sponsors schools to participate in the Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA).
MUNA educates senior high school students on the United Nations organisation. The way the U. N. plays a vital role in promoting world peace, in addition to improving health, education and living standards around the world.
The event provides an excellent forum for students to develop and practise their public speaking skills whilst debating on topical world issues.
LEADERSHIP TRAINING FOR YOUNG ADULTS
RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) is an amazing leadership program for young adults aged between 19 and 25. The 6 day program focuses on leadership, personal development, teamwork and community awareness. RYLA features presentations from many experts who generously donate their time and experience to further the development of young leaders. The program combines workshops and presentations to fully explore the fundamentals of effective leadership.
OVERSEAS TRAVEL EXPERIENCES
The Rotary Youth Exchange Program (YEP) provides secondary school students aged 15 to 17, sponsored by a Rotary Club, with the opportunity to live and study abroad with host families for one academic year, to learn a new language, a new way of living and a great deal about themselves. Exchange students form part of the ambassadorial team of Rotary International promoting international goodwill, peace and understanding. The students also have opportunities for personal development and making international friends and contacts that can have positive benefits for their future lives.
